Firstly, I am sorry that you need to be here researching a counsellor to help you remove the distress from a sexual assault. However, welcome, I am glad you found me and look forward to meeting and supporting you. 

As a certified sexologist and trauma counsellor, I specialise in helping people remove the painful sensations and triggers connected to traumatic events where the body is intruded upon. 

I use a modality called, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). It is known as the fastest methodology for clearing trauma and is like a super-charged adaptation of EMDR for those who are familiar with it. ART uses eye-Movements and somatic processing to process and clear the pain associated with the trauma. It doesn’t remove the facts of the event, but removes the distress you feel about it.

Appointment 1 – In our first appointment (50 mins), I will do a pre-screening and prepare you for the processing session. In this session we do not process any trauma, nor do I need to you to go into details of specific events. Please note, if you have a diagnosed dissociation disorder, please email me first to see if ART is suitable for you.

Processing sessions – Sessions take 80-90 minutes. I recommend you clear your schedule for a few hours afterwards as ART can fatigue your brain and body. You don’t have to go into detail of your trauma in these sessions. In fact it is possible to do ART without discussing your trauma at all. 

Pricing – The intake session is $190. Processing sessions are $260. Processing trauma usually occurs in 1-3 session, which is much quicker when compared to traditional talk therapy.
